1. Upcoming Markets
I will be in Seattle this weekend! Tell your friends or come by and say "hi!" This will be my FIRST Renegade, a true milestone in my market journey. β¨ My next event in Texas will be Paper Trail July 20th in San Antonio!
I've been working really hard on my Patreon and am excited to share the rewards for June! This timeline snuck up on me, but I'm already working on July and hope I can share those soon!
A few new cards are in the shop I wanted my Pickle card to work both as a Father's Day and an Every Day card, so I'm excited to have both, and the green turned out amazing (blending my blue and yellow inks together)!
πΊ Watching:Materialists directed by Canadian Korean Celine Song (also directed Past Lives) was a refreshing take on a romantic comedy. Fun Fact, the director was a professional matchmaker leading to some interesting stories that carried over into the movie! I also recently watched an intriguing interview with Simon Pegg which led me to finally watch Hot Fuzz. I found it wildly entertaining and now want to rewatch it for all the details and appreciate the quick editing style!
π Reading: I have a book on hold called How to ADHD and in the meantime have enjoyed her Youtube Channel of the same name. I'm not "officially" diagnosed as ADHD, but a lot of neurodivergent friends have told me we track well with each other and so I've been trying to learn more about this and adapt these learnings to my productivity habits. More to come!
π΅ Listening: Hooked on Sabrina Carpenter's new single Manchild, and loved the cinematic music video. Additionally I've been enjoying two TV podcasts for The Last of Us (s2 finale was INSANE!) and Severance (vicariously re-watching because I want all the BTS production details).
β¨Behind the Scenesβ¨
I threw myself a Severance-themed birthday party last month and got to get creative with the decor and party favors which included Lumon or "Mewmon" (keeping it cat-themed) blue corporate badges! It was truly a great time and I'm so thankful for all the birthday wishes!

A little mockup of our half booth for Renegade Seattle, it's been a challenge to fit in a shared 8x8 ft space (so 4x8ft for me and another vendor each). We're excited to be in Seattle and it will be interesting to test out this compact 6ftx18in table (aka skinny table) and hope for a good crowd!

In other news, I left my part-time job at Bonsai Paper Co. last week. I started this job to give myself more structure during my day, and with recent market prep and creating new work I found it started to fill up that time. Adding my Patreon was the final thing to keep me incredibly busy. I'm super grateful to Bonsai for learning more about running a shop and getting to chat stationery with people, but I'm looking forward to dedicating more time to my art. I'm still wholesaling my work there, so go by and check it out if you're at NorthPark! π
