~ November | 2024 ~
Hey Reader! November is FLYING by and I've been busy juggling markets and a new part-time job. π See updates below!
1. Black Friday starts today!
We are less than a week out from Thanksgiving, you can start shopping early and get 20% OFF your order through 11/29. Get a FREE MYSTERY PRINT when you spend over $25+! Extra art prints make thoughtful holiday gifts for someone special! Y'all are the first to know before I share on social media! Use code: FRIDAY24 to redeem (online only)!
My last pop-up in Dallas before the end of the holidays! Come say "hi!" at Etsy Dallas this Saturday! Last few events for the year are listed below! ποΈ Etsy Dallas Jingle Bashβ βWhen: November 23, 2024 βTime: 10:30 am - 4:00 pm βLocation: Gilleyβs Dallas Event Center, 1135 Botham Jean Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215 --------------------------- ποΈ 12/7+8 Markets for Makers: Austin ποΈ 12/14 + 15 Markets for Makers: Houston
I'm so excited to share I got a riso for the studio and I can't wait to start printing more risograph prints in-house! π The studio is pretty "bare" right now because I'm still needing to hang the rest of my art collection, so this is a "before" pic! I'm still figuring out commissions and print jobs for fellow artists, and will likely have details in 2025!

4. New Zine!
I made a zine! Just in time for Dallas Zine Fest last week, I got to debut the zine that I finished illustrating and printing the SAME DAY, hot off the press! I clearly need a hard deadline to finish art these days π but it got done and I'm so proud of how it turned out!
π I got into pen pal-ing and had a ton of fun playing around with washi tape and stickers I have collected! It was oddly relaxing to get back to writing and sharing my love of stationery with a friend! Any favorite pen pal tips or things you like to see in letters, let me know your ideas!
π I recently started a part-time job! There have been a number of reasons I've been wanting to find a job in retail and NOT because I've given up on this business! It's one part - get retail experience running a store and second part - help balance my time on weekdays. I discovered I'm the kind of person who will sit around if I don't have something scheduled, so a job has helped add structure to my week surprisingly!
π I'm on a quest for "planner peace" (aka the perfect planner) and got over eager to try a bunch of new planners at once [might be a Youtube video]. I've settled on the Hemlock & Oak weekly planner for 2025 for now!
I have really enjoyed the holiday energy and cooler weather this fall. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you this weekend! Whether or not you shop from me this holiday, I always appreciate your support and thank you for being here! π
Until next time,
Artist + Owner of Michaela Made
P.S. Let me know what you're most excited for the holiday season for you! Is it the food, family time, cozy films?
